Paw Protect’s wellness plan works in harmony alongside your accident and illness coverage to protect your furry friend with the best possible pet care.†
Complete support for your pet
Your Paw Protect insurance policy covers treatment for unfortunate accidents and illness, but there’s more to pet life than being ill!
Our flexible Wellness Rewards plan covers routine care for your pet, such as grooming, training, and vaccinations. Wellness Rewards is not an insurance policy, but works as a budgeting tool and rewards you for being proactive with your pet’s care.

Choose Your Reimbursement Amount
Wellness Rewards offers three different options for reimbursement, so you can choose the preferred amount for each pet, every year, and receive a $25 annual reward from Paw Protect.*
- $250 allowance per policy year
- $450 allowance per policy year
- $650 allowance per policy year
* The $250 allowance yearly savings is $25; the $450 allowance yearly savings is $24.96; the $650 allowance yearly savings is $24.92.
New pet parents of puppies and kittens might want to opt for the $650 allowance, as young pets typically visit the vet alot in their first year. Whereas an older pet may only need $250 if they’re otherwise healthy and just need to keep up to date with vaccinations and flea treatment.
If your circumstances change and you’d like a bit more flexibility, you can change your Wellness Rewards amount at your policy renewal with Paw Protect.
Billing
Wellness Rewards will show as a separate payment from your Paw Protect accident and illness coverage. You’ll be billed at the same time as your pet insurance policy payment, whether you choose to pay monthly or annually.
Useful Information about Wellness Rewards
From the moment you sign up, you can claim your full Wellness Rewards amount.
Wellness Rewards is a separate product from Paw Protect’s accident and illness insurance policy. So claims against your wellness plan don’t have a copayment or count toward the insurance deductible.
Increasing your pet’s wellness plan amount during your policy term requires a one-time back-payment for all months to the start of the existing policy.
If you cancel your plan earlier than the 12-month policy term, Paw Protect reserves the right to collect any outstanding payment.
We recommend choosing a plan amount which you can realistically use in a year, as any remaining balance in your Wellness Rewards allowance at the end of the year will not roll over. It is also non-refundable.
